ORDINANCE NO. 657AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE JOINT AGREEMENT FOR COOPERATION IN AREA PLANNING: CONCERNING THE CHANGE OF NAME OF SAID JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION FROM “GREATER SOUTHWEST KANSAS PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT;” AMENDING THE JOINT AGREEMENT FOR COOPERATION IN AREA PLANNING AS PROVIDED BY K.S.A. 12-716 AND K.S.A. 12-2901 ET SEQ.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MEADE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after January 1, 1981, and the approval of the Attorney General of the State of Kansas, the Greater Southwest Regional Planning Commission created by the joint agreement for cooperation in area planning as provided by K.S.A. 12-716 and 12-2901 et seq., shall be known as the “Southwest Kansas Planning and Development District.” On and after the effective date of the change of name, whenever the “Greater Southwest Regional Planning Commission” or words of like effect are referred to or designated by a contract or other document, such reference or designation shall be deemed to apply to the “Southwest Kansas Planning and Development District.”
All rules, regulations, policies and directives of any type of the “Greater Southwest Regional Planning Commission” in existence shall continue to be effective and shall be deemed to be the rules, regulations, policies and directives of the “Southwest Kansas Planning and Development District: until revised, amended, repealed or nullified pursuant to law.
