ORDINANCE NO. 831

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 SUBSECTION A1. OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 777 AND SECTION 2 SUBSECTION 2A OF ARTICLE XXVII OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE BOOK OF THE CITY OF MEADE, KANSAS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MEADE, KANSAS:

1. That Section 2 Subsection A1 of Ordinance No. 777 of the City of Meade, Kansas be amended to read as follows.

Section 2. The following regulations shall apply to the location and construction of fences in the City of Meade, Kansas:

A. Residential Districts:

1. Front Yard. Fences may be erected within a required front yard providing such fence shall be no more than forty-two (42) inches in height as measured from the top of the curb or if no curb, from the centerline elevation of the adjacent platted street.

2. That Section 2 Subsection 2a. of Article XXVII of the Zoning Ordinance Book of the City of Meade, Kansas be amended to read as follows.

Section 2. FENCES: The following regulations shall apply to construction of fences:

2. Fences may be erected in any of the residential districts subject to the following:

a. Front Yard. Fences may be erected within a required front yard providing such fence shall be no more than forty-two (42) inches in height as measured from the top of the curb or if no curb, from the centerline elevation of the adjacent platted street.

3. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed.

4. This ordinance shall be in full force and affect upon its passage, approval and publications in the official city newspaper.
