ORDINANCE NO 843

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LAND TO THE CITY OF MEADE, KANSAS.

                WHEREAS, a written consent to annexation is on file with the City of Meade, Kansas, by the owner of the following described tract of real estate located in Meade County, Kansas, to-wit:

WHEREAS, the City of Meade, Kansas will consider a tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section Three (3), Township Thirty-two (32) South, Range Twenty-eight (28) West of the 6th P.M. in Meade County, Kansas, described as:

Commencing at the Southeast corner (SE/c) of said Section 3; thence N89ᴼ5757W (assumed bearing), along the South line of said Section 3, Fifteen Hundred Ten (1510.00) feet; thence N00ᴼ0611E, Eight Hundred (800.00) feet to the Point of Beginning, being the Northwest corner of a tract described in book 82, page 83, Meade County, Kansas Register of Deeds; hence N00ᴼ0611E, Three Hundred Sixty (360.00) feet; thence N89ᴼ5752E, Eight Hundred Nineteen and 19/100 (819.19) feet; thence S00ᴼ1851E, Four Hundred Sixty-two and 46/100 (462.46) feet; thence S89ᴼ5757W, Two Hundred Seventy-five (275.00) feet; thence S00ᴼ1851E, Three Hundred Fifty (350.00) feet; thence N89ᴼ5757W, Three Hundred Twenty-five and 10/100 (325.10) feet; thence N00ᴼ0611E, Four Hundred Fifty-two and 19/100 (452.19) feet; thence N89ᴼ5349W, Two Hundred Twenty-five (225.00) feet to the Point of Beginning, containing Ten and 79/100 (10.79) acres.

Requesting that the above described tracts of land be annexed to the City of Meade, Kansas, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-250 (a) (7).

                NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MEADE, KANSAS. 

                Section 1.  That the following described tracts of real estate, all of which is situated in Meade County, Kansas, to-wit:

A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section Three (3), Township Thirty-two (32) South, Range Twenty-eight (28) West of the 6th P.M. in Meade County, Kansas, described as:

Which adjoins the City of Meade, Kansas, be annexed to the City of Meade, Kansas, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-250 (a) (7)

                Section 2.  That the above described tracts of annexed real estate shall, upon filing in the offices of the County Clerk and Register of Deeds, be designated thereafter as R-3 (Multiple Family District).

                Section 3.  That the Clerk of the City of Meade, Kansas shall file a certified copy of this Ordinance from and after the time it becomes effective, in the offices of the County Clerk and Register of Deeds of Meade County, Kansas.

                Section 4.  That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication in the official city newspaper.
